My Story
At 19, I was in a terrible car accident that left me with debilitating back and neck pain. At 23, I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and two herniated discs in my low back. I was in so much pain that I couldn’t bend over to touch my toes. Doctors told me that I needed surgery and were prescribed medications to ease the pain. Thankfully, I didn’t have the surgery, but I grew dependent on drugs and alcohol to numb the pain. Exercising was out of the question. I had never been one to exercise, but the thought of trying to move my body more than sitting on the couch was overwhelming.
At 27, I found yoga and Pilates and began to change my life. At age 33, with my husband and two baby boys (just 18 months apart), I moved to Florida and started Beach Yoga with Kerri. I ran local yoga classes at the beach for just $5. Everything seemed perfect, except my marriage was falling apart. My husband and I separated due to his alcoholism & my world was devastated. I began searching for healing, not only for my fibromyalgia but also in my marriage.
It took many years of therapy, marriage counseling, & a 12 step recovery to restore what was lost. I have learned our body will speak to us, and through the mind-body connection, we can see precisely what is needed just by listening.
Today, my husband and I have the relationship I have always dreamed of. No, it hasn’t been easy, but it has been worth it. I am living a life I never thought possible. I can do things with my body that doctors told me were impossible. I desire to help others discover that they can change and find freedom in their mind, body, and spirit.
I’m here to tell you change can happen for anyone, and all it takes is a willing spirit and the courage to take the first step.

Today’s restorative class will help you be present in your mind and body. Although this practice is restorative, we will challenge our active end-range flexibility through dynamic movements and powerful yoga postures like triangle and half moon. You will need two foam yoga blocks for this class. Enjoy!

Today’s class is focused on the posterior chain muscle group, otherwise known as our backside! We will use weight, pilates, and yoga to get a well-rounded 3-in-1 workout! This class will require a set of hand weights and yoga blocks. Enjoy!
Today’s class will focus on the inner thigh, pelvic floor, and lower body activation as we use the dumbbells to tone and shape the upper body! You will want your yoga blocks and light to medium hand weights.
